ARC

TABLE

Originally designed as part of a collaboration between Foster + Partners and Molteni&C in 2010, the Arc table is a feat of architectural innovation. The original inspiration for Arc comes from tensile structures, which make use of tension to remain erect. The idea is present in the table’s design, with its three legs that fan outward in a sculptural form reminiscent of a tent.

STRENGTH AND ELASTICITY

Inspired by the fluidity of tensile structures, it utilizes "light" cement, resulting in a sculptural piece that echoes the organic geometry of a delicate flower. Renowned for its floating, soft, iconic design, Arc seamlessly marries strength and elasticity with complete recyclability and low environmental impact. Recipient of the ELLE DÉCOR Design Award in 2011, Arc continues to enchant with its iconic silhouette.

“ARC STARTED LIFE AS A POSSIBLE TENSILE STRUCTURE. WE WERE ATTRACTED BY THESE FLOWING FORMS”

ARC OUTDOOR

In 2022, the Arc table was adapted for the Outdoor Collection with a full cement finish, showcasing structural integrity and elegant mono-materiality. A timeless addition to the Molteni Museum's permanent collection since 2024, Arc embodies both artistry and sustainability.
